The Rural Municipality of Edenwold No. 158 was incorporated as a Rural Municipality in 1912. The RM is located in Treaty 4 territory in southeastern Saskatchewan, Canada, just 10 km east of the City of Regina. Our current population is 4,490 (2016 Census). Our boundaries include 849km2 of land containing a wide range of commercial, residential, and industrial land uses.

RM 158 Harvest Photo Contest Rules & Regulations 2024
ELIGIBILITY
All entries must be photographs taken in the RM of Edenwold. The contest is open to all residents of the RM of Edenwold, except for members of staff or council for the RM of Edenwold. This includes their immediate families and cohabitants. The RM of Edenwold reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion.
WHAT PHOTOS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We want to see the RM of Edenwold’s agricultural landscapes celebrated in whatever fashion is meaningful to you. This could mean vibrant colours of crops growing in fields, a celebration of seeding or harvest time, or agricultural producers using precision agriculture technology in the field. The field is wide open.
ENTER FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN PRIZES
Five (5) finalist photos will be selected by RM of Edenwold judges. One (1) grand prize-winning photo will be selected by popular vote from the five finalists between October 5 and October 13, 2024.
Four finalists will receive a $100.00 gift card from a local vendor, with the winning photographer receiving a GRAND PRIZE collection of gift cards valued at $500.00.
WHAT PHOTO FORMAT IS REQUIRED?
- Digital photographs: jpeg or .jpg files submitted electronically
- Dimensions: at least 2200 pixels wide for horizontal images or 2200 pixels tall for vertical images
- File size: 10 MB maximum
- Photo must be a high-resolution of at least 300 dpi at 8 x 10 inches
- Borders, frames, text, or other graphic treatments are NOT permitted
- Content alteration (including combining multiple photos) is NOT permitted
OTHER DATA REQUIRED: Where in the RM of Edenwold the photo(s) were taken (i.e. legal land description, or civic address)
Cropping of photos is permitted, tonal or colour corrections are acceptable. Borders, frames, text, or other graphic treatments are not permitted. The use of artificial intelligence to edit, create, or enhance photos is not permitted.
RM of Edenwold reserves the right to disqualify contestants who are not able to submit, upon request, a high-resolution file of at least 300 dpi at 8 x 10 inches.

All entries must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, October 4, 2024.

ENTRIES AND IDENTIFICATION
Photographs entered must not have been previously published. Individuals are permitted to submit up to five (5) entries but only one from each individual may be selected to move forward in the judging process. Entrants must own all rights to the photographs submitted. As such, entrants hold the RM of Edenwold harmless from any breach of copyright. Photographs that have won any other contests or have been published in a magazine or newspaper (except online on a personal social media accounts) are not eligible. Photographs that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright are not eligible. For a photo in which a person is recognizable, a model release is required.
Model Releases are the responsibility of the entrant and must be presented with the submission of the photo if they include recognizable people. Use the form below and include in your email entry.

Photographs must have been taken since August 1, 2023 in the RM of Edenwold. The RM of Edenwold holds the right to disqualify entries with inappropriate content. Entries will not be returned.
PUBLICATION
Finalists will be showcased in a gallery display at RM 158 Rock n’ Field Day on June 21, 2025, as well as featured on the RM’s social media pages, website, and upcoming Community Proud newsletters.
The RM of Edenwold reserves the non-exclusive right to publish any entry and/or use any entry in promotional materials. Photos published will be credited to the photographer where possible.
DEADLINE
All entries submitted through the contest website must be received before 4:00 pm on October 4th, 2024.
WHEN WILL THE WINNERS BE NOTIFIED?
The 4 finalists and 1 grand prize winner will be notified by 4:00 pm on October 14th, 2024. The decisions are made, and the results are final.

The RM of Edenwold cannot be held responsible for entries that are lost, damaged, or delayed during transportation. The RM of Edenwold is not responsible for any failure of the website or email during this contest. Nor is it responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, or any email, online, or internet entry lost due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.
COPYRIGHT NOTICE
With regard to any photograph submitted to this contest, the entrant, or the owner of copyright in the photograph, retains copyright. By submitting any photograph to this contest, the entrant grants (or warrant that the owner of such materials expressly grants) the RM of Edenwold a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any RM of Edenwold purpose, including, but not limited to advertising and promotional materials, its website, exhibition, and commercial products, including but not limited to RM publications. The RM of Edenwold will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

The RM contains a vast diversity of residential options including the suburban community of Emerald Park, numerous country residential communities, and many farmyard acreages located on quarter-sections of land.
The RM is committed to creating a high quality of life for residents by fostering opportunities to support social development, creating jobs, empowering our farmers, and building prosperity in the region.
Agricultural operations on lands throughout the RM continue to thrive. The roots of the RM began with these family agricultural businesses and they will continue to be an asset and staple of our RM.
Adding to the benefits of establishing a business within the RM, the Trans-Canada highway runs through the RM, in addition to three other busy highways. Close proximity to these transportation options is a bonus for businesses that require reliable and efficient transportation routes. Because of our ideal location, the RM of Edenwold is a prime place to conduct business.
The RM has three business districts: Emerald Park Business District, Butte Business District, and Highway 46 Business Park. These areas are identified within the RM’s Official Community Plan.
Our industrial parks also contribute to the municipality. These industrial parks include agricultural equipment manufacturers and dealers, light and heavy industrial manufacturing, trucking firms, and other trade groups and businesses.
The RM of Edenwold looks to encourage development across the region through industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Due to the RM's prime location, existing amenities, recreational spaces, and diverse land uses, the RM is the ideal municipality for those looking to live and work in rural Saskatchewan.
The RM's neighbours include six First Nations and six other municipalities.
The RM is governed by an elected municipal council of seven councillors, assisted by an appointed Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Council and the CAO meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. The CAO is Karen Zaharia. The RM's office is located at 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park, SK, S4L 1C6 - 15 km east of Regina on Highway 1.
