The spring road ban has been lifted however all roads are restricted to Secondary Weights until May 11, 2026.
RM of Edenwold – What This Means
Beginning March 20:
- Seasonal (reduced) road weights are in effect on all RM roads.
- Loads must be adjusted or broken down to meet restricted seasonal weight limits.
- Primary weights are not permitted during this period.
Why Restrictions Are Necessary
As frost leaves the ground in spring, the road base becomes soft and unstable. Limiting heavy truck loads:
- Reduces long‑term damage to road surfaces
- Helps prevent costly repairs to municipal and provincial roads
- Keeps roadways safer for all users
These seasonal restrictions help protect the integrity of our transportation network during one of the most vulnerable times of the year.
