Celebrating Agriculture in the RM of Edenwold
2025 Rules & Regulations
ELIGIBILITY
All entries must be photographs taken in the RM of Edenwold. The contest is open to all residents of the RM of Edenwold, except for members of staff or council for the RM of Edenwold. This includes their immediate families and cohabitants. The RM of Edenwold reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion.
WHAT PHOTOS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We want to see the RM of Edenwold’s agricultural landscapes celebrated in whatever fashion is meaningful to you. This could mean vibrant colours of crops growing in fields, a celebration of seeding or harvest time, or agricultural producers using precision agriculture technology in the field. The field is wide open.
ENTER FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN PRIZES
Five (5) finalist photos will be selected by RM of Edenwold judges. One (1) grand prize-winning photo will be selected by popular vote from the five finalists between October 17 and October 30, 2025.
Four finalists will receive a $100.00 gift card from a local vendor, with the winning photographer receiving a GRAND PRIZE collection of gift cards valued at $500.00.
WHAT PHOTO FORMAT IS REQUIRED?
Digital photographs: jpeg or .jpg files submitted electronically
Dimensions: at least 2200 pixels wide for horizontal images or 2200 pixels tall for vertical images
File size: 10 MB maximum
Photo must be a high-resolution of at least 300 dpi at 8 x 10 inches
Borders, frames, text, or other graphic treatments are NOT permitted
Content alteration (including combining multiple photos) is NOT permitted
OTHER DATA REQUIRED: Where in the RM of Edenwold the photo(s) were taken (i.e. legal land description, or civic address)
Cropping of photos is permitted, tonal or colour corrections are acceptable. Borders, frames, text, or other graphic treatments are not permitted. The use of artificial intelligence to edit, create, or enhance photos is not permitted.
RM of Edenwold reserves the right to disqualify contestants who are not able to submit, upon request, a high-resolution file of at least 300 dpi at 8 x 10 inches.

ENTRIES AND IDENTIFICATION
Photographs entered must not have been previously published. Individuals are permitted to submit up to five (5) entries but only one from each individual may be selected to move forward in the judging process. Entrants must own all rights to the photographs submitted. As such, entrants hold the RM of Edenwold harmless from any breach of copyright. Photographs that have won any other contests or have been published in a magazine or newspaper (except online on a personal social media accounts) are not eligible. Photographs that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright are not eligible. For a photo in which a person is recognizable, a model release is required.
Model Releases are the responsibility of the entrant and must be presented with the submission of the photo if they include recognizable people. Use the form at the bottom of the page and include in your email entry.
Photographs must have been taken in 2025 in the RM of Edenwold. The RM of Edenwold holds the right to disqualify entries with inappropriate content. Entries will not be returned.
PUBLICATION
Finalists will be showcased in a gallery display at the next RM 158 Rock n’ Field Day, as well as featured on the RM’s social media pages, website, and upcoming Community Proud newsletters.
The RM of Edenwold reserves the non-exclusive right to publish any entry and/or use any entry in promotional materials. Photos published will be credited to the photographer where possible.
DEADLINE
All entries submitted through the contest website must be received before 4:00 pm on Monday, October 15, 2025.
WHEN WILL THE WINNERS BE NOTIFIED?
The 4 finalists and 1 grand prize winner will be notified by 4:00 pm on Monday, November 3rd, 2025. The decisions are made, and the results are final.

The RM of Edenwold cannot be held responsible for entries that are lost, damaged, or delayed during transportation. The RM of Edenwold is not responsible for any failure of the website or email during this contest. Geocaches are hidden containers that contain a logbook and fun surprises. When players find a geocache, they sign a guestbook and log finds on Geocaching.com to prove they found the geocache.
There were twelve RM of Edenwold geocaches containing treasure, plus each one features unique and interesting facts about the area that you may not have known.
Why should I take part?
Geocaching is popular worldwide and is a great way to discover new locations. Geocaching is a great game to pair with hiking, biking, camping, and other activities for spending time outdoors. It’s also a great way to spend time with friends and family.
What are the treasures I can find?
The knowledge that there might be something special waiting in the geocache for you to find may inspire and feed your curiosity. It could be a gemstone, a key chain, a toy car, or some old coins. And the great part is… you can take the treasure - if you leave some other treasure behind in its place.
How can I take part?
Participants use their smartphone to create an account on geocache.com and use it to navigate to a geocache.
Look up one of the GeoCaching158RM geocache codes (GC), a unique code that identifies a geocache (you will see a list of all twelve geocaches below). Then use this code to find the geocache in the app.
When players find a geocache, they sign a logbook to prove they found the geocache. And be sure to log all your findings on the Geocaching.com website/app too.
Just follow these steps:
Download and install the Geocaching app on your phone.
Open the app and sign up for a free account.
In the app, click on the magnifying glass and select Location - or choose Current Location to show geocaches near your current location. Then, choose a geocache on the map. The other way is to click the magnifying glass, choose Geocache, and enter a GeoCaching158RM GC code for a treasure on the RM of Edenwold course.
Geocaches have a Terrain and Difficulty rating that indicates how difficult it will be to get to a geocache. Easier geocaches have a rating under 2. You can press the Hint button to check some hints about where the geocache could be hidden. You can also check Description, then Attributes to find about any special circumstances of the geocache, and check Activity to find out when geocache was last found, and comments of previous geocachers that might give clues about the geocache. Finally, there may be Photos for additional clues too.
After checking the geocache info… click the Navigate button that will lead you to the geocache destination.
When you arrive at the geocache location, participants can use the previous clues to find the geocache.
When you find the cache - open it! Then log your find on the Geocaching app with your username and the date when you found the geocache.
Success! You have found one of the RM of Edenwold geocaches. Now repeat and find the other eleven!
Skate for FREE at Communiskate in Emerald Park every Wednesday from October 1, 2025 until March 25, 2026 from noon until 1pm (No free skating day scheduled on Dec 24th, Dec 31st or Feb 18th).
The RM of Edenwold and the Emerald Park Fire Department will be hosting the 4th annual Fired Up! Classic Car Show.
With support from Cargill and the Pilot Butte 46ers, over 200 cars will be on display between the RM office and the Emerald Park Fire Hall. Drop by with the kids and enjoy tours of the fire hall. Vote for your favourite car, truck, or bike and get in on chances to win some cool prizes.
Plus, take in the free BBQ with donations supporting a local charity.
EVENT PARKING UPDATE: The RM office and Emerald Park Fire Hall will be packed with classic cars during the event. Public parking will be allowed on the north side of South Plains and along Hutchence Road on one side only.
